La Caribe is a nice, little retreat in Maya Beach, Belize. We offer two suites with full Belizean style kitchenettes with all the dishes and cooking utensils you need and one suite with refrigerator and microwave. Our suites are air conditioned, have hot/cold water, queen size beds and cable TV. If you want, we can stock your fridge with food, Belikin beer or both before you arrive. La Caribe is on the lagoon side of the Placencia Peninsula, where the most awesome sunsets are seen. From this side, the sun drops behind the Maya Mountains which overlooks the lagoon. On other side of the peninsula, a very short walk away, is the beautiful Caribbean Sea, where you can swim, snorkel, fish or just relax and tan on the sand. Many animals can be seen here including iguanas, coatimundis, our resident nearsighted fox, butterflies, pelicans, parrots, hummingbirds, man of war, and a variety of other birds.  We can arrange any of your tours including the popular Monkey River Jungle Walk tour or tours to all the Mayan Ruins, the Jaguar Reserve, diving, snorkeling, fishing and sailing tours.
